Cookies
In short
- Necessary cookies keep the shop working: the cart, the session, your language, currency and delivery country.
- Our payment providers set their own cookies on the product, cart and checkout pages to process payments securely and prevent fraud.
- Google Ads cookies tell us which ad brought an order. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they are set only after you agree in the cookie banner.
- Everywhere else they are set unless you turn them off. Cookie settings at the bottom of every page changes your choice at any time.

1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that the shop asks your browser to keep. When you open the next page, the browser sends it back, and that is how the shop knows that the cart you filled two pages ago is still yours.
Some cookies are necessary: without them the cart empties itself on the next click, or a payment cannot be taken securely. They are set as soon as you use the shop, because the shop cannot work without them and the law does not require consent for them. The only other cookies are the Google Ads cookies described in section 5. If you visit from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, they are set only after you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner. From any other country they are set unless you choose “Only necessary” in Cookie settings at the bottom of the page.
What we store about you beyond cookies, and why, is described in the privacy policy.
2. Necessary cookies set by the shop
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
woocommerce_ |
Tells the shop that the cart has contents, so the header count and the cart page stay correct | Until you close the browser |
woocommerce_ |
Same purpose, used by the cached pages so a cached page never shows an empty cart | Until you close the browser |
wp_ |
Links your browser to your cart and your checkout data on the server | 2 days, 7 days while you are signed in |
ik_ |
Remembers the language you chose for the shop | 1 year |
ik_ |
Remembers the currency prices are shown in: the one you chose, or the one of your checkout country | 1 year |
ik_ |
Holds your country, derived from your IP address by Cloudflare, so the shop shows the shipping rate and delivery time for that country | 1 day |
ik_ |
Remembers the delivery country you picked in the shipping panel | 1 year |
ik_ |
Shows the notice that the language and currency were selected for your location, once | 5 minutes |
ik_ |
Remembers your cookie choice: necessary cookies only, or all cookies | 180 days |
The shop also keeps ik_ in your browser’s local storage: the list of products you looked at recently, for the “Recently viewed” row on product pages. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
None of these cookies carries your name, your address or your payment data.
3. Cookies set by our payment providers
The payment options are loaded on the product, cart and checkout pages, and the providers behind them set their own cookies there. They use them to take payments securely and to detect fraud, which makes them necessary for paying in the shop. They process this data under their own privacy policies.
| Provider | Cookies | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Affirm, Link) | _, _ on our domain; cookies on stripe.com |
Fraud prevention and a secure payment session | _ 1 year, _ 30 minutes, stripe.com up to 13 months |
| hCaptcha, on Stripe’s behalf | Cookies on hcaptcha.com | Checks that the payment form is used by a person and not a bot | Up to 30 days |
| Amazon Pay | Session cookies on amazon.com | Shows the Amazon Pay button and keeps its payment session | Up to 1 year |
Stripe’s privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy. Amazon Pay’s privacy notice: pay.amazon.com.
4. Analytics
We set no analytics cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without setting a cookie and without identifying you.
If we add analytics that needs your consent, for example Google Analytics, it will run only after you agree in the cookie banner, and we will list its cookies on this page. How Cloudflare processes data and on what legal basis is set out in sections 2.5, 3 and 5 of the privacy policy.
5. Advertising measurement (Google Ads)
We advertise our products on Google. To learn which ad brought a visit or an order, the shop loads the Google Ads tag. It tells Google which products you look at, what you put in the cart and, when you buy, the order value, together with the cookies below. We use this to measure our ads and to show our ads again to people who visited the shop (remarketing).
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ |
Our domain, for Google | Links a visit to the ad that brought it, so an order can be counted as a result of that ad | 90 days |
_ |
Our domain, for Google | Stores the ad click identifier when you arrive from a Google ad | 90 days |
IDE |
doubleclick.net (Google) | Measures ad results and lets Google show our ads to people who visited the shop | Up to 13 months |
test_ |
doubleclick.net (Google) | Checks whether your browser accepts cookies | 15 minutes |
When you visit from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the tag does not load at all until you choose “Accept all”. We base it on your consent there. From other countries the tag loads, based on our legitimate interest in measuring our advertising, and you can turn it off at any time.
Google Ireland Limited (for the EEA, the UK and Switzerland) and Google LLC process this data under their own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. How Google uses data from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
We use no social media pixels and no other advertising networks.
6. Videos
Product pages show IKAPE’s videos as still images. A video loads from YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) only when you press play; from then on YouTube may store data in your browser under Google’s privacy policy. Until you press play, nothing is loaded from YouTube.
7. How to manage cookies
Cookie settings, at the bottom of every page, opens your choice again at any time. Turning off advertising measurement there stops the Google Ads tag from loading from the next page on. Cookies Google has already set stay in your browser until they expire or until you delete them.
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Deleting the WooCommerce cookies empties your cart; deleting the ik_ cookies resets your language, currency and delivery country. If you block the payment providers’ cookies, some payment options may not work.
