- Measure the inside diameter of your basket at the top edge, not the portafilter.
- Three sizes cover the catalogue: 51 mm, 53.3 / 54 mm and 58 mm.

1. How to measure
Every tool in this shop is sized to the filter basket, not to the portafilter body. Two machines can have portafilters that look alike from the outside and still take different baskets, so measure the basket.
- Take the basket out of the portafilter.
- Turn it upside down, or hold it so you can see straight into the open top.
- Measure across the top opening, from the inside of one wall to the inside of the opposite wall, through the centre.
- Read the millimetres. A caliper is easier than a ruler, but a ruler is enough to tell 51 from 54 and 54 from 58.

51 mm
Compact machines, most of them De’Longhi. IKAPE machines the tool to 51 mm for compact De’Longhi baskets.
53.3 / 54 mm
Sage and Breville machines. Sage calls the basket 54 mm, and IKAPE machines the tool to 53.3 mm so it fits the 54 mm Sage and Breville basket. We list both numbers as one size so you do not have to choose between them.
58 mm
Machines with a commercial style group, including every E61 group machine. IKAPE lists these tools as 58.35 mm or 58.5 mm depending on the model; all of them are made for standard 58 mm baskets. If your machine takes a 58 mm basket, this is your size.

Two notes on this table. Some Sage and Breville models use a 58 mm basket rather than the 54 mm one, so if your portafilter looks like the larger commercial type, measure it. And De’Longhi portafilters come with two ears and with three ears: the diameter is the same, but a few products are made for one or the other, and the product page says which.

4. Send us your model
If your machine is not in the table, or if you measured something between two sizes, write to [email protected] or use the contact form with the brand and the full model number. We check it and answer within 1 business day, before you order.
If a tool turns out to be the wrong size after all, you have 14 days to send it back under your right of withdrawal, and the steps are on the returns page.
