A knock box with compartments for your tools
The IKAPE ABS knock box organizer is a knock box with internal compartments for your puck-prep tools. IKAPE sizes them for a 51 to 58 mm espresso tamper and distributor, portafilter baskets and puck screens, so the tools sit next to the knock box. IKAPE calls it an eight-in-one organizer. It comes in dark green.
What the compartments take
- Espresso tamper: tamper diameters from 51 to 58 mm.
- Distributor: distributors in the same 51 to 58 mm range.
- Portafilter basket: a basket in its own compartment.
- Puck screens: puck screens in their own compartment.
- Knock box: the compartment the spent puck goes into.
It comes apart
IKAPE designed the box to come apart, so you can clean the coffee grounds out of every part and keep it hygienic.
Choose the right size
- tools for De'Longhi Dedica and other compact 51 mm machines.51 mm
- tools for Sage / Breville machines with 54 mm portafilters.54 mm
- tools for standard 58 mm baskets on E61 group machines, Gaggia Classic, Rancilio Silvia, Lelit, ECM and Profitec.58 mm
One box takes tools across this whole range, so there is only one version to order.
How to use it
- Set the box on a flat surface within reach of the machine.
- Knock the spent puck into the knock box compartment.
- Put each tool back in its own compartment after use.
- Take the box apart and rinse out the grounds after each session.
- Dry all the parts before you put the box back together.
Materials and care
IKAPE describes the box as lightweight, sturdy plastic that stands up to long hours of use and frequent cleaning; its product name gives the plastic as ABS. Rinse the parts by hand and dry them, and keep them out of the dishwasher.
