This IKAPE espresso basket holder is a clear acrylic stand for standard 54 mm and 58 mm baskets. IKAPE states that its viewing angle shows each basket in full detail: the wall thickness, the surface texture and the small holes in the base. You can take one basket out and put another in while you brew.
Acrylic in two thicknesses
IKAPE's photos show the 3 pcs version as a panel with three seats and the 6 pcs version with six. In the dimension drawing of the three-seat stand, each seat is 60 mm across, the stand is 244 mm tall and the base is 130 × 110 mm.
The top panel is clear acrylic, 9.5 mm thick. IKAPE states that it is solid and does not bend easily, so it keeps its shape with baskets in it over long use.
The base is matte black acrylic, 14 mm thick. IKAPE states that the thicker base makes the stand more stable and more resistant to wear, and that the acrylic resists corrosion and abrasion.
Choose the right size
- standard Sage / Breville baskets.54 mm
- standard baskets for E61 group machines, Gaggia Classic, Rancilio Silvia, Lelit, ECM and Profitec.58 mm
- Not 49 mm or 51 mm: IKAPE states that smaller baskets, including 49 mm and 51 mm, do not fit this stand.
How to use it
- Press the top panel into the base until the snap-fit holds; you need no screws or tools.
- Stand it within reach of the grinder.
- Set each basket in the stand with its holes facing out.
- Pull the panel off the base when you want to clean the stand or put it away.
Materials and care
IKAPE names high-transparency acrylic for the top panel and matte black acrylic for the base. IKAPE states that the two parts fit together tightly in seconds and do not shake.
Wipe the stand with a soft damp cloth and a drop of washing-up liquid. Keep solvents, alcohol-based cleaners and abrasive pads away from the acrylic, and dry rinsed baskets before you stand them in it.
