Materials and care

Wash the cup and saucer by hand with a soft sponge, and keep abrasive pads and scouring powder off the glaze.

Warm the cup with hot water before you pour, so it takes less heat from the drink. Avoid sudden changes of temperature, and do not put the cup on a hotplate or under a grill.
