It closes the gap above the water tank
This Gaggia Classic water tank riser is a honeycomb plate that goes under the water tank of the Gaggia Classic Pro, Evo, E24 and RI9403. The tank leaves a gap of about 6 mm below the machine's top plate, and the 6.4 mm riser lifts it up against the plate.
The riser is 195.6 mm wide, the width of the tank. A round cut-out at its front edge sits in the recess under the front of the tank.
How it fits
Take the water tank out, lay the riser on the machine floor with the round cut-out at the front, and put the tank back on top of it. It needs no tools and no modification to the machine.
Materials and care
The riser is 3D printed in matte black PLA, and like any 3D printed part it shows fine layer lines on its surface.
PLA softens with heat, so wash it by hand in lukewarm water with mild dish soap and keep it out of the dishwasher.
