Three tiers for the coffee tools

The IKAPE coffee tool organizer is a rack of three tiers that stores your coffee tools above the worktop. IKAPE states that it holds eight kinds of utensil at the same time, among them the tamper, the distributor and the portafilter. It comes in walnut or sapele, with 304 stainless steel.

Seats and sizes

In IKAPE's photos the top two tiers each have three round seats of 60 mm. The bottom tier has one 60 mm seat, one 84.8 mm seat and two narrow slots 52 mm long. The rack stands 226 mm high on a footprint of 227 × 257 mm.

Wood and steel

IKAPE makes the rack from wood and 304 stainless steel, which it describes as food-grade, and states that it is solid and does not shake once it is put together. In its photos the three tiers are wood and they rest on steel rods.

How to use it

Tighten the connecting screws as the installation instructions show; IKAPE states that one person can put the rack together.
Stand the rack on a flat, dry surface within reach of the machine.
Put the heavier tools on the bottom tier and the lighter ones above.
Check the screws after a few weeks and tighten any that have worked loose.

Materials and care

The tiers are wood and the rods are 304 stainless steel. Wipe the wood with a barely damp cloth and dry it at once, and never soak it. Clean the steel with soapy water and a dry cloth. Let a rinsed portafilter or basket drain before it goes back on a wooden seat.
