Three speeds on one button

The IKAPE handheld milk frother is a rechargeable whisk for milk foam and small mixing jobs. One button steps through three speeds, and IKAPE gives each speed its own task.

Low, 5,400 rpm: sauces, dressings, egg yolks and protein powders, mixed without over-aerating them.
Medium, 7,400 rpm: baby food, purées, fruit jams and other light mixing.
High, 8,700 rpm: dense milk foam for a cappuccino, and whipped egg whites or heavy cream.

Two interchangeable heads

The frother comes with a spring milk foam head and a balloon whisk head, and either one fits the same body. Both are 304 food-grade stainless steel, which IKAPE describes as corrosion resistant and durable.

Stability in the pitcher

IKAPE states that the frother has a stabilizing internal rotor and spins without shaking, so the milk stays in the pitcher. IKAPE also describes the motor as low-noise. Keep the whisk below the surface of the milk while it runs.

Charging and storage

A built-in 1,500 mAh lithium battery means there are no AA cells to replace. IKAPE states that a full charge over a USB Type-C cable takes two hours. A matte black metal stand is included, so the frother stands upright on the bench between uses.

How to use it

Pour cold, fresh milk into the frothing pitcher; IKAPE notes that cold milk gives a better texture and a more stable flavour.
Fit the head you need and put the whisk fully into the milk, about 1 cm above the bottom of the pitcher.
Press the button to start and step through the speeds as you need them.
Move the frother gently through the milk while it runs.
Stop it before you lift it out, then pour the espresso over or into the foam.

Materials and care

The whisk heads are 304 food-grade stainless steel, as IKAPE describes them. Rinse a head as soon as you finish, because dried milk is much harder to remove from a coiled whisk than wet milk. Keep the body and the charging port out of water and wipe them with a damp cloth. Let the head dry before it goes back on the stand.
