A stand for filters and puck screens

The IKAPE snail stand holds a stack of paper filters and two puck screens at the same time, and the set includes both. Choose 58.5 mm and you have a 58 mm paper filter holder for E61 and other 58 mm machines; 51 and 53.3 mm versions are also sold. IKAPE makes the stand from walnut and beech wood.

What is in the set

  • Snail organizer: a snail-shaped stand of walnut and beech wood that holds the filters and the screens at once.
  • 100 paper filters: single-use discs for the basket, in the size you select.
  • 2 ultra-thin puck screens: reusable discs that sit on top of the coffee, in the size you select.

How to use it

  1. Stand the organizer next to the machine, on the dry side of the bench.
  2. Put the filters and the two screens in the stand.
  3. Take one filter or one screen per shot and lay it on the tamped coffee.
  4. Rinse and dry a screen before it goes back into the stand.

Materials and care

IKAPE states that the stand is made of walnut and beech wood. Wipe it with a dry or barely damp cloth and keep it away from the drip tray. Put the puck screens back only once they are dry, and keep the filters away from the steam wand.
