How to measure

Take the basket out of the portafilter and turn it upside down.

Measure across the top opening, from the inside of one wall to the inside of the opposite wall, through the centre.

Read the millimetres. A caliper is easier than a ruler, but a ruler is enough to tell 51 from 54 and 54 from 58.
